Well what can I say? It’s been a while since I did a video.
I decided that this is the video to get me back into the swing of things, so I thought I would go ahead and update everyone on exactly what I have been up to!
The main features of this video are my Losi 8ight 3.0 brushless conversion and the Tamiya CR-01.
I talk about what I have done to them and what my plans are, what electrics I have used and how I fitted them!
The Tamiya CR-01
The Tamiya CR-01 is a crawler/ trail RC truck that is quirky and unique and that’s why I got one. This particular one is heavily hopped up with loads of metal parts, its heavy and beefy! I received this used one from the facebook marketplace and its awesome!
Below is a video of it crawling across a little course I setup in my garden, at this stage it just had a Hobbywing 1060 ESC and a silver can motor. Since then I have brought a RC4WD ESC and 45T motor.
The body is a Carisma Coyote and looks really good on this chassis, I used velcro to mount and it works really well! Hopefully I will be getting the CR-01 out to some proper crawling locations soon!
Losi 8ight 3.0 brushless conversion
Next up is my Lost 8ight 3.0 brushless conversion, this little project was pretty straight forward. Just needed to buy the Losi conversion kit and then the electrics!
You can get the Losi conversion kit here https://ebay.to/2JbY84i
The ESC I used is the Surpass Hobby 150AMP which allows up to 6s and is waterproof you can get that here https://ebay.to/2V08IT9
And the motor I went for is this guy from Bangood https://www.banggood.com/custlink/G3vKzmCoVP
